Hadith 1081

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ عُثْمَانَ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ تَوَضَّأَ فَخَلَّلَ لِحْيَتَهُ ثَلاثًا ، وَقَالَ : " هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَعَلَهُ " .
Abu Wa'il narrates: I saw Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) performing ablution; he passed his fingers through his beard three times, then stated this: I saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) doing it in the same manner.
