Hadith 1039

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَرُوبَةَ ، بِحَرَّانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَوْبَرُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْكَلْبِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ ، عَنْ شُرَحْبِيلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلا أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى مَا يَمْحُو اللَّهُ بِهِ الْخَطَايَا ، وَيُكَفَّرُ بِهِ الذُّنُوبَ ؟ " قَالُوا : بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " إِسْبَاغُ الْوُضُوءِ عَلَى الْمَكْرُوهَاتِ ، وَكَثْرَةُ الْخُطَا إِلَى الْمَسَاجِدِ ، وَانْتِظَارُ الصَّلاةِ بَعْدَ الصَّلاةِ ، فَذَلِكَ الرِّبَاطُ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I not guide you to that which, through it, Allah wipes away sins and removes wrongdoings?" The people said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Performing ablution well when it is difficult for the self, walking with more steps towards the mosque, and waiting for one prayer after another—this is the preparation."
