Hadith 1035

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ السَّعْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ ثَعْلَبٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ قَالَ : اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لا إِلَهَ إِلا أَنْتَ ، خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ ، عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ ، وَأَبُوءُ بِذَنْبِي ، فَاغْفِرْ لِي إِنَّهُ لا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلا أَنْتَ ، فَمَاتَ مِنْ يَوْمِهِ أَوْ لَيْلَتِهِ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ " .
Abdullah bin Buraidah narrates from his father that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever says: 'O Allah! You are my Lord. There is no deity except You. You created me. I am Your servant. I am, as much as I am able, steadfast upon Your covenant and Your promise. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me. None forgives sins except You.' (The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, says) If that person dies on that day or that night, he will enter Paradise."
