Hadith 1013

أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ مُجَاشِعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ ابْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُعَوِّذُ حَسَنًا وَحُسَيْنًا : " أُعِيذُكُمَا بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لامَّةٍ " . وَكَانَ يَقُولُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَانَ أَبُوكُمَا يُعَوِّذُ بِهِمَا إِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِسْحَاقَ " .
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite this (supplication) and blow over Sayyiduna Imam Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Imam Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him): "I seek refuge for both of you in the perfect words of Allah from every devil, harmful thing, and every envious eye." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: "Your forefather (Sayyiduna Ibrahim, peace be upon him) also used to recite these words and blow over Sayyiduna Isma'il (peace be upon him) and Sayyiduna Ishaq (peace be upon him)."
