Sahih Adab al-Mufrad

954/1254 (Sahih) From Anas who said: I took Abdullah ibn Abi Talha to the Prophet, peace be upon him, on the day he was born, and the Prophet, peace be upon him, was in a cloak, marking his camel. He said: "Do you have some dates with you?" I said: Yes. So I handed him some dates, and he chewed them, then he opened the mouth of the boy and put them in his mouth, and the boy began to smack his lips. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "The Ansar love dates," and he named him: Abdullah.
