Hadith 938
938/1230 (حسن) عن جابر بن عبد الله قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : " إياكم والسمر(1) بعد هدوء الليل؛ فإن أحدكم لا يدري ما يبث الله من خلقه، غلقوا الأبواب، وأوكوا السقاء، وأكفئوا الإناء، وأطفئوا المصابيح".
938/1230 (Hasan) from Jabir ibn Abdullah who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Beware of conversing late at night after the calm of the night; for none of you knows what Allah may spread of His creation. Close the doors, tie the water skins, cover the vessels, and extinguish the lamps."
