Hadith 931
931/1221 (صحيح) عن جابر بن عبد الله؛ أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " أغلقوا الأبواب، وأوكوا السقاء، وأكفئوا الإناء، وخمروا الإناء(1)، وأطفئوا المصباح؛ فإن الشيطان لا يفتح غلقاً، ولا يحل وكاء، ولا يكشف غناء، وإن الفويسقة تضرم على الناس بيتهم".
931/1221 (Sahih) From Jabir ibn Abdullah; that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Shut the doors, tie the water skins, cover the vessels, and cover the containers(1), and extinguish the lamps; for indeed, Satan does not open a closed door, nor untie a knot, nor uncover a vessel, and indeed the vermin may set fire to people's houses."
Hadith 932
932/1222 (صحيح) عن ابن عباس قال : جاءت فأرة فأخذت تجر الفتيلة، فذهبت الجارية تزجرها، فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم : "دعيها"، فجاءت بها فألقتها على الخمرة التي كان قاعداً عليها، فاحترق منها مثل وضع درهم، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "إذا نمتم فأطفئوا سرجكم، فإن الشيطان يدل مثل هذه على مثل هذا فتحرقكم".
932/1222 (Sahih) From Ibn Abbas who said: A mouse came and started dragging the wick, so the servant girl went to drive it away, but the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "Leave it." Then it brought it and threw it onto the mat on which he was sitting, and it burned a spot the size of a dirham. The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: "When you go to sleep, extinguish your lamps, for Satan guides the likes of this (mouse) to the likes of this (wick) and burns you."
