Sahih Adab al-Mufrad

917/1202 (Sahih) From Abu Huraira who said: Abu Bakr said: O Messenger of Allah! Teach me something to say when I wake up in the morning and when I go to bed in the evening. He said: "Say: O Allah, Knower of the unseen and the seen, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Lord of everything and its Sovereign (1), I bear witness that there is no deity but You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of myself and from the evil of Satan and his partnership; say it when you wake up in the morning, when you go to bed in the evening, and when you take to your bed."

918/1204 (Sahih) From Abu Rashid al-Hubarani: I came to Abdullah ibn Amr, and I said to him: Tell us what you heard from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. So he handed me a scroll and said: This is what the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, wrote for me. I looked in it and found in it: Indeed, Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with him, asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said: O Messenger of Allah! Teach me what I should say when I wake up in the morning and when I enter the evening. He said: "O Abu Bakr! Say: O Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, Lord of everything and its Sovereign, I seek refuge in You from the evil of myself, and from the evil of Satan and his partnership, and that I should commit evil against myself or bring it upon a Muslim."
