Hadith 907
907/1184 (حسن صحيح) عن أنس بن مالك: أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم صلى بهم الظهر، فلما سلم قام على المنبر، فذكر الساعة، وذكر أن فيها أموراً عظاماً، ثم قال: "من أحب أن يسأل شيء فليسأل عنه، فوالله لا تسألوني عن شيء إلا أخبرتكم، ما دمت في مقامي هذا". قال أنس: فأكثر الناس البكاء حين سمعوا ذلك من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، وأكثر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أن يقول: "سلوا". فبرك عمر على ركبتيه، وقال: رضينا بالله رباً، وبالإسلام ديناً، وبمحمد رسولاً، فسكت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم حين قال ذلك عمر، ثم قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : " أولى(1)، أما والذي نفس محمد بيده، لقد عرضت علي الجنة والنار في عرض هذا الحائط – وأنا أصلي- فلم أر كاليوم في الخير والشر".
907/1184 (Hasan Sahih) From Anas ibn Malik: That the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, led them in the Zuhr prayer, and when he finished, he stood upon the pulpit and mentioned the Hour, and mentioned that there are great matters in it. Then he said: "Whoever wishes to ask about anything, let him ask about it, for by Allah, you will not ask me about anything except that I will inform you of it, as long as I am in this position of mine." Anas said: The people wept much when they heard that from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, kept saying: "Ask." So Umar knelt on his knees and said: We are pleased with Allah as our Lord, with Islam as our religion, and with Muhammad as our Messenger. So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was silent when Umar said that. Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "It is more appropriate(1). By Him in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, Paradise and Hell were displayed before me across this wall – while I was praying – and I have never seen the like of today in good and evil."
