Hadith 893
893/1166 (صحيح الإسناد) عن سعيد المقبري قال: مررت على ابن عمر ومعه رجل يتحدّث، فقمت إليهما، فلطم في صدري، فقال (1) : "إذا وجدت اثنين يتحدثان فلا تقم معهما، ولا تجلس معهما، حتى تستأذنهما ". فقلت: أصلحك الله يا أبا عبد الرحمن! إنما رجوت أن أسمع منكما خيراً.
893/1166 (Authentic chain of narration) from Sa'id al-Maqburi who said: I passed by Ibn Umar while he was with a man talking, so I approached them, and he struck my chest and said: "If you find two people talking, do not stand with them, nor sit with them, until you seek their permission." So I said: May Allah rectify you, O Abu Abd al-Rahman! I only hoped to hear some good from you both.
Hadith 894
894/1167 (صحيح الإسناد موقوفاً، وقد صحّ مرفوعاً) عن ابن عباس قال: "من تسمع إلى حديث قوم وهم له كارهون، صب في أذنه الآنك، ومن تحلم بحلم كلف أن يعقد شعيرة".
894/1167 (Authentic chain, stopped; and it has been authenticated as raised) from Ibn Abbas who said: "Whoever listens to the conversation of a people while they dislike it, molten lead will be poured into his ear; and whoever fabricates a dream will be tasked to tie a barley grain."
