Hadith 878
878/1147 (حسن الإسناد) عن كثير بن مرّة قال: دخلت المسجد يوم الجمعة، فوجدت عوف بن مالك الأشجعي جالساً في حلقةٍ، مدّ(1) رجليه بين يديه، فلما رآني قبض رجليه، ثم قال لي: "تدري لأي شيء مددت رجلي؟ ليجيء رجل صالح فيجلس".
878/1147 (Hasan al-Isnad) from Kathir ibn Murrah who said: I entered the mosque on Friday and found Awf ibn Malik al-Ashja'i sitting in a circle, stretching out his legs in front of him. When he saw me, he drew in his legs, then said to me: "Do you know why I stretched out my legs? So that a righteous man would come and sit."
