Hadith 846
846/1106 (صحيح) عن عبد الله بن عمر؛ أنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : " إن اليهود إذا سلّم عليك أحدهم، فإنما يقول: السام عليك، فقولوا: وعليك".
846/1106 (Sahih) From Abdullah ibn Umar; he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When one of the Jews greets you, he only says: 'As-sam upon you.' So say: 'And upon you.'"
Hadith 847
847/1107 (حسن) عن ابن عباس قال: "ردوا السلام على من كان يهودياً، أو نصرانياً، أو مجوسياً؛ ذلك بأن الله يقول: ? وإذا حييتم بتحية فحيوا بأحسن منها أو ردّوها? [النساء: 86]".
847/1107 (Hasan) from Ibn Abbas who said: "Return the greeting of peace to whoever it may be, whether he is a Jew, a Christian, or a Magian; that is because Allah says: ?And when you are greeted with a greeting, greet in return with what is better than it, or at least return it? [النساء: 86]."
