Hadith 842
842/1102 (صحيح) عن أبي بصرة الغفاري، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " إني راكب غداً إلى يهود، فلا تبدأوهم بالسلام؛ فإذا سلموا عليكم. فقولوا: وعليكم"(1).
842/1102 (Sahih) From Abu Basrah al-Ghifari, from the Prophet, peace be upon him, who said: "Tomorrow I am going to ride to the Jews, so do not initiate the greeting of peace with them; but if they greet you, then say: And upon you."(1).
Hadith 843
843/1103 (صحيح) عن أبي هريرة، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " إذا لقيتم/111] أهل الكتاب (وفي رواية: المشركين فـ) لا تبدأوهم بالسلام(2)، واضطروهم إلى أضيق الطريق".
843/1103 (Sahih) From Abu Huraira, from the Prophet, peace be upon him, who said: "If you meet [the People of the Book (and in another narration: the polytheists), do not initiate the greeting of peace with them, and force them to the narrowest part of the road."
