829/1081 (Sahih) From Kulayda ibn Hanbal: That Safwan ibn Umayya sent him to the Prophet, peace be upon him, during the conquest with milk, a young goat, and daghabis—Abu Asim said: meaning herbs—and the Prophet, peace be upon him, was at the upper part of the valley, and I had not embraced Islam nor sought permission. He said: "Go back and say: Peace be upon you. May I enter?" And that was after Safwan had embraced Islam.
