Hadith 757
757/982-(صحيح الإسناد) عن بشير بن يسار قال: " ما كان أحدٌ يبدأ – أو يبدر – ابن عمر بالسلام".
757/982-(Authentic chain) From Bashir ibn Yasar who said: "No one would begin—or hasten—to greet Ibn Umar with salam."
Hadith 758
758/983-(صحيح الإسناد موقوفاً) عن جابر قال: " يسلم الراكب على الماشي، والماشي على القاعد، والماشيان أيهما يبدأ بالسلام فهو أفضل".
758/983-(Authentic chain, Mawquf) From Jabir who said: "The rider greets the one walking, the one walking greets the one sitting, and of two people walking, whichever of them begins with the greeting is better."
Hadith 759
759/984- (حسن) عن ابن عمر: أن الأغر- وهو رجل من مزينة، وكانت له صحبة مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم – كانت له أوسق من تمر على رجل من بني عمرو بن عوف، اختلف إليه مراراً، قال: فجئت إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فأرسل معي أبا بكر الصديق، قال: فكل من لقينا سلموا علينا، فقال أبو بكر: "ألا ترى الناس يبدؤونك بالسلام، فيكون لهم الأجر؟ ابدأهم بالسلام يكن لك الأجر". يحدث هذا ابن عمر عن نفسه.
759/984- (Hasan) From Ibn Umar: That Al-Agharr – and he was a man from Muzaynah, and he had companionship with the Prophet, peace be upon him – had some wasqs of dates owed to him by a man from Banu Amr ibn Awf. He went to him repeatedly. He said: So I came to the Prophet, peace be upon him, and he sent Abu Bakr As-Siddiq with me. He said: Everyone we met greeted us with salam. Abu Bakr said: "Do you not see that the people are initiating you with salam, so they get the reward? Initiate them with salam so you will have the reward." Ibn Umar narrates this about himself.
Hadith 760
760/985-(صحيح) عن أبي أيوب؛ أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " لا يحل لامرئ مسلم أن يهجر أخاه فوق ثلاث، فيلتقيان، فيعرض هذا ويعرض هذا؛ وخيرهما الذي يبدأ بالسلام".
760/985-(Sahih) From Abu Ayyub; that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "It is not lawful for a Muslim man to shun his brother for more than three days, so they meet and this one turns away and that one turns away; and the better of the two is the one who initiates the greeting of peace."
