Hadith 744
744/962 (Sahih) From Jabir ibn Abdullah: That the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, passed through the market entering from some part of al-‘Aliyah—and the people were around him—so he passed by a dead, deformed kid [ميت], and he took hold of it by its ear, then said: "Which of you would like to have this for a dirham?" They said: We would not like to have it for anything; what would we do with it? He said: "Would you like to have it for yourselves?" They said: No. (He said that to them three times.) They said: No, by Allah! If it were alive, it would be a defect in it that it is deformed (and the deformed is the one without ears), so how about when it is dead? He said: "By Allah, the world is more insignificant to Allah than this is to you."

Hadith 745
745/963 (Sahih) From ‘Uti bin Dumrah who said: I saw with my father a man who called himself by the slogans of the Jahiliyyah, so my father told him to bite it – and he did not use a euphemism – so his companions looked at him. He said: It is as if you find this strange?! He said: I do not fear anyone in this matter ever; I heard the Prophet, peace be upon him, say: "Whoever calls himself by the slogans of the Jahiliyyah, tell him to bite it and do not use a euphemism."
