Hadith 735
735/955 (Sahih) From Ali, may Allah be pleased with him: That the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came to him and Fatima, the daughter of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, at night and said: "Will you not pray?" I said, O Messenger of Allah! Our souls are in the hand of Allah, so if He wills to wake us, He will wake us! The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, turned away and did not reply to me. Then I heard him as he was leaving, striking his thigh and saying: "But man is, more than anything, argumentative."

Hadith 736
736/956 (Sahih) From Abu Huraira, he said: I saw him striking his forehead with his hand and saying: O people of Iraq! Do you claim that I lie about the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him! Should you have the benefit and I bear the sin? I bear witness that I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, say: "If the thong of one of your sandals breaks, let him not walk in the other until he repairs it."
