Hadith 692
692/897 عن أبي هريرة؛ أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " إن أوليائي يوم القيامة المتقون، وإن كان نسب أقرب من نسب، فلا يأتيني الناس بالأعمال، وتأتون بالدنيا تحملونها على رقابكم، فتقولون: يا محمد! فأقول هكذا وهكذا: لا" وأعرض في كلا عطفيه.
692/897 From Abu Huraira; that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "My allies on the Day of Resurrection are the righteous, even if there is a closer lineage than lineage. So let not people come to me with deeds, while you come with the world carried upon your necks, and you say: O Muhammad! And I will say thus and thus: No," and he turned away to both his sides.
Hadith 693
693/898 عن ابن عباس قال: " لا أرى أحداً يعمل بهذه الآية: ? يا أيها الناس إنا خلقناكم من ذكر وأنثى? حتى بلغ: ? إن أكرمكم عند الله أتقاكم ? [الحجرات: 13]. فيقول الرجل للرجل: أنا أكرم منك! فليس أحدٌ أكرم من أحدٍ إلا بتقوى الله ".
693/898 Ibn Abbas said: "I do not see anyone acting upon this verse: 'O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female' until he reached: 'Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you' [الحجرات: 13]. A man says to another man: I am more noble than you! But no one is more noble than another except by the fear of Allah."
Hadith 694
694/899- عن ابن عباس: " ما تعدون الكرم؟ وقد بين الله الكرم، فأكرمكم عند الله أتقاكم، ما تعدون الحسب؟ أفضلكم حسباً أحسنكم خلقاً".
694/899- From Ibn Abbas: "What do you consider as nobility? Allah has clarified nobility, so the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most pious among you. What do you consider as lineage? The best of you in lineage is the best of you in character."
