671/870 عن ابن عمر، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " لأن يمتلئ جوف أحدكم قيحاً خير له من أن يمتلئ شعراً".
671/870 From Ibn Umar, from the Prophet, peace be upon him, who said: "For one of you to have his belly filled with pus is better for him than to have it filled with poetry."

672/871 عن عكرمة، عن ابن عباس: ? والشعراء يتبعهم الغاوون? [الشعراء: 224] إلى قوله: ?وأنهم يقولون ما لا يفعلون? [الشعراء: 226]. فنسخ من ذلك واستثنى، فقال: ?إلا الذين ءامنوا? إلى قولهم : ?ينقلبون?(1).
672/871 From Ikrimah, from Ibn Abbas: "And the poets are followed by the deviators" [الشعراء: 224] up to His saying: "And that they say what they do not do" [الشعراء: 226]. So that was abrogated and an exception was made, and He said: "Except those who believe" up to His saying: "they return" (1).
