Sahih Adab al-Mufrad

654/847 Narrated Anas: The Prophet, peace be upon him, used to come to us—and I had a little brother who was nicknamed Abu Umair, and he had a small bird he used to play with, but it died. The Prophet, peace be upon him, entered and saw him sad. He said: "What is the matter with him?" It was said to him: His little bird has died. He said: "O Abu Umair! What happened to the little bird?" (1).
