Hadith 589
589/761 عن عدي بن أرطاة قال: كان الرجل من أصحاب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا زكي قال: " اللهم لا تؤاخذني بما يقولون، واغفر لي ما لا يعلمون"(1).
Adi bin Artah narrates that when any man among the companions of the Prophet (ﷺ) was considered chaste, he would say: O Allah! Do not hold me accountable for what these people say (about me), and forgive me for (my shortcomings) which they do not know.
Hadith 590
590/762 عن أبي قلابة، أن أبا عبد الله قال لأبي مسعود- أو أبو مسعود قال لأبي عبد الله-: ما سمعت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في : "زعم"، قال: "بئس مطية الرجل".
It is narrated from Abu Qilabah that Abu Abdullah said to Abu Mas'ud, or Abu Mas'ud said to Abu Abdullah: What have you heard from the Prophet (peace be upon him) about «زعم»? He said: «زعم» is a bad mount for a person (that is, it is a lie).
Hadith 591
591/763 قال أبو مسعود : وسمعته يول: "لعن المؤمن كقتله".
Abu Mas'ud said: And I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Cursing a believer is like killing him.
