Sahih Adab al-Mufrad

Abdur Rahman bin Abi Bakrah says that he said to his father: O my father! I hear you recite this supplication every morning: «اللهم عافني فى بدني ، اللهم عافني فى سمعي ، اللهم عافني فى بصري ، لا إله إلا أنت» "O Allah! Grant me well-being in my body. O Allah! Grant me well-being in my hearing. O Allah! Grant me well-being in my sight. There is no deity except You." You recite this supplication three times in the morning and three times in the evening, and you say: «اللهم إني أعوذ بك من الكفر والفقر ، اللهم إني أعوذ بك من عذاب القبر ، لا إله إلا أنت» You recite this supplication three times in the morning and three times in the evening. He said: Yes, O my son! I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say these words, and I like to act upon his Sunnah. And he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This is the supplication of a person afflicted with anxiety: «اللهم رحمتك أرجو ، ولا تكلني إلى نفسي طرفة عين ، وأصلح لي شأني كله ، لا إله إلا أنت» O Allah! I hope for Your mercy, so do not leave me to myself even for the blink of an eye, and rectify all of my affairs. There is no deity except You."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that he said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to supplicate at the time of distress: «لا إله إلا الله العظيم الحليم، لا إله إلا الله رب العرش العظيم، لا إله إلا الله رب السماوات ورب الأرض ورب العرش الكريم [وفي الطريق الأخرى: العظيم]، اللهم اصرف شره» “There is no deity except Allah, the Most Great, the Most Forbearing. There is no deity except Allah, the Lord of the Mighty Throne. There is no deity except Allah, the Lord of the heavens and the earth and the Lord of the Noble Throne (and in one narration: the Great). O Allah! Turn away its evil.”
