Hadith 510
510/654 عن أبي هريرة، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: "يستجاب لأحدكم ما لم [يدع بإثم أو قطيعة رحم، أو/ 655 ) يعجل ؛ يقول : دعوت فلم يستجب لي [ فيدع الدعاء]".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that indeed the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The supplication of every one of you is accepted as long as he does not ask for something sinful or for breaking ties of kinship, and as long as he does not become hasty and say, 'I have made many supplications but they have not been accepted,' and then he gives up supplicating."
