Sahih Adab al-Mufrad

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man from Banu Fazarah gave a she-camel as a gift to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him something in return, but the man became displeased with it. Upon this, I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying from the pulpit: "One of them gives me a gift, I give him in return according to what I have, then he becomes displeased with it. By Allah! After this, I will not accept a gift from any Arab except a Qurayshi, Ansari, Thaqafi, or Dosi."
