Hadith 436
Narrated from Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: (Once) the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Lady Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). She sought permission (to enter) while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was with Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), wrapped in her sheet. He gave permission to Lady Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), so she came in and said: "Your wives have sent me; they are demanding justice from you regarding the daughter of Abu Quhafah." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O my daughter! Do you love whom I love?" She said: "Certainly." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then love her (Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her)." After that, she got up, went out, and informed the wives of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). They said: "You have not helped us at all. Go to him again." She said: "By Allah! I will never say anything to him about this again." After that, they sent Lady Zainab (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). She sought permission from him, and he gave her permission as well. She also came and said the same thing to him, and along with that, she spoke harshly to me. So I began to look at (the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him) to see if he would permit me (to speak). I kept looking at him until I realized that if I responded, he would not mind. Then I also spoke about Zainab and prevailed over her, silencing her. At this, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) began to smile and then said: "She is indeed the daughter of Abu Bakr."
