Sahih Adab al-Mufrad

It is narrated from Abu Bakr bin Hazm and Muhammad bin Munkadir that they were among some people of the mosque who visited Umar bin Hakam bin Rafi’ Al-Ansari during his illness. He said: O Abu Hafs! Tell us a hadith. He said: I heard Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) say: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: “Whoever visits a sick person enters into mercy, and when he sits there, he settles in an ocean of mercy.”
