Hadith 385
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: "When a person falls ill, the deeds that he used to do in a state of health are written for him."

Hadith 386
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that whenever Allah Almighty puts a person to a physical trial, then as long as he remains ill, the same deeds are written for him as he used to do in a state of health. If Allah grants the patient recovery, I think the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "His sins are washed away, and if Allah takes him (in death), He forgives him." And in another narration: "If Allah grants him recovery, He washes him clean of sins."

Hadith 387
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: Fever came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "Send me to those among your people who have more precedence." So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent it to the Ansar. It remained with them for six days and nights, and the fever proved to be very severe for them. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to their houses, and the people complained to him. Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began to visit each neighborhood and each house of theirs and started praying for their well-being. When he was returning, a woman came behind him and said: "By the One Who has sent you with the truth, I am from the Ansar and my father is also from the Ansar. Just as you prayed for the Ansar, pray for me as well." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What do you want? If you wish, I will pray for you to be protected from fever, and if you wish, be patient and you will be granted Paradise." She said: "I will be patient, and I will not put Paradise at risk."

Hadith 389
It is narrated from Abu Nahilah that it was said to him: Pray to Allah, so he said: O Allah! Lessen the illness but do not decrease the reward. Then it was said to him: Pray, and when he prayed, he said: O Allah! Make me among the close ones and make my mother among the houris with beautiful eyes.

Hadith 390
It is narrated from Ata bin Abi Rabah that Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said to me: "Shall I not show you a woman of Paradise?" I said: "Certainly." He said: "This black woman came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: 'I have fits of epilepsy and I become uncovered, so please pray to Allah for me.' The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'If you wish, be patient and Paradise will be yours, or if you wish, I will pray to Allah to cure you.' The woman said: 'I will be patient, but I become uncovered, so please pray to Allah that I may not become uncovered.' So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed for her."
