Sahih Adab al-Mufrad

Kathir bin Ubaid says: I came to Umm al-Mu’minin Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), and she said: Hold this for me so I can sew my trousers. So I held it. I said: O Umm al-Mu’minin, if I go outside and mention this matter to people, they will consider it stinginess on your part. She said: Do your work; new clothes are not for the one who does not use the old.
