Sahih Adab al-Mufrad

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The Hour will not be established until people start building houses that they decorate and make resemble saddles (with adornments)." Ibrahim said: That is, striped cloth.

It is narrated from Warad, who was the scribe of Mughira, that he said: (Once) Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote to Mughira: "Write to me something that you have heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." So Mughira (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote to him: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite this supplication after every prayer: «لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ، اللَّهُمَّ لاَ مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ ، وَلاَ مُعْطِيَ لَمَا مَنَعْتَ ، وَلاَ يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ .» "There is no deity except Allah, He is One, He has no partner, His is the dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He is over all things competent. O Allah! None can withhold what You give, and none can give what You withhold, and the wealth of the wealthy will not avail them against You." And he also wrote to him that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade idle talk, excessive questioning, and the wasting of wealth. And he (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade disobedience to mothers, burying daughters alive, withholding the rights of people, and asking without right.

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No one's deeds can save him." The people asked: "Not even you, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied: "Not even me, unless Allah covers me with His mercy. Therefore, remain steadfast, draw close to one another, and perform good deeds in the morning, in the evening, and to some extent during the latter part of the night. And adopt moderation, adopt moderation, and you will reach your destination."
