Hadith 323
323/420 عن أم الدرداء [ وهي الصغرى الفقيهة ] أن رجلاً أتاها. فقال: إن رجلاً نال منك عند عبد الملك. فقالت: إن نؤبن(1) بما ليس فينا فطالما زكينا بما ليس فينا.
It is narrated from Umm Darda (and she is the younger Umm Darda who was a scholar), that a man came to her and said: A person has spoken ill of you in the presence of Abdul Malik. She replied: If he has said something about us which is not in us, then for a long time virtues have been attributed to us which were not in us. (Abu Darda had two wives; when the first wife passed away, he married again, and she is called the younger Umm Darda.)

324/421 عن عبد الله [هو ابن مسعود]: " إذا قال الرجل لصاحبه: أنت عدوي، فقد خرج أحدهما من الإسلام، أوبرئ من صاحبه"(2).
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah (Ibn Mas'ud): When a person says to his companion, "You are my enemy," then one of them goes out of Islam, or (if he says), "I am free from responsibility towards my companion."
