Hadith 314
314/406 عن أبي أيوب الأنصاري؛ أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " لا يحل لمسلم أن يهجر أخاه فوق ثلاثة أيام، يلتقيان فيقرض هذا ويعرض هذا، وخيرهما الذي يبدأ بالسلام".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "It is not permissible for a Muslim to sever relations with his brother for more than three days; when they meet, one turns away from the other and the other turns away from him. The better of the two is the one who greets (with salam) first."
