Hadith 287
287/373 (صحيح) عن قرة قال: قال رجلٌ : يا رسول الله! إني لأذبح الشاة فأرحمُها، أو قال: إني لأرحم الشاة أن أذبحها. قال: " والشاة إن رحمتها، رحمك الله" مرتين.
It is narrated from Qarah that he said: A man said to the Messenger (ﷺ), "O Messenger of Allah! When I slaughter a goat, I feel compassion for it." Or he said, "I feel compassion if I slaughter a goat." The Prophet (ﷺ) said twice, "If you show mercy to the goat, Allah will show mercy to you."
Hadith 288
288/374 (حسن) عن أبي هريرة قال: سمعت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم الصادق المصدوق أبا القاسم صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " لا تنزع الرحمة إلا من شقي".
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), the truthful, the believed, Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), saying: "Mercy is only taken away from the wretched."
