Hadith 264
246/347(صحيح الإسناد) عن أنس بن مالك ؛ أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم زار أهل بيت من الأنصار، فطعم عندهم طعاماً، فلما خرج أمرَ بمكان من البيت، فنضح له على بساط، فصلى عليه، ودعا لهم.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, visited a household of the Ansar and ate food with them. When he was about to leave, he instructed regarding a place in the house, so a mat was spread there and water was sprinkled on that mat. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, performed voluntary prayer on it and supplicated for them.
Hadith 265
265/(348/1) (صحيح مقطوع) عن أبي خلدة قال: جاء عبد الكريم أبو أمية إلى أبي العالية وعليه ثياب صوفٍ، فقال أبو العالية: "إنما هذه ثياب الرهبان، إن كان المسلمون إذا تزاوروا تجملوا".
Abu Khulda narrates that Abdul Karim Abu Umayyah came to Abu Aliah. At that time, he was wearing woolen clothes, so Abu Aliah said: This clothing is for monks; indeed, when Muslims used to meet each other, they would adorn themselves.
Hadith 266
266/(348/2) (حسن) عن عبد الله مولى أسماء قال: أخرجت إليّ أسماء جبة من طيالسة عليها لبنة شبر من ديباج، وإن فرجيها مكفوفان به، فقالت: " هذه جبة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، كان يلبسها للوفود، ويوم الجمعة".
It is narrated from Abdullah, the freed slave of Sayyida Asma’ (may Allah be pleased with her): Sayyida Asma’ (may Allah be pleased with her) showed me a cloak which the elders used to wear. Its collar was made of thick silk and its sleeves were adorned with silk embroidery. Sayyida Asma’ (may Allah be pleased with her) said: This is the cloak of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), which he used to wear when delegations arrived and on Fridays.
Hadith 267
267/349 (صحيح) عن عبد الله بن عمر قال: وجد عمر حُلة استبرق، فأتى بها النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال: اشتر هذه والبسها عند الجمعة أو حين تقدم عليك الوفود، فقال عليه الصلاة والسلام : " إنما يلبسها من لا خلاق له في الآخرة". وأُتي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بحلل، فأرسل إلى عمر بحلة، وإلى أسامة بحلة، وإلى علي بحلة، فقال عمر: يا رسول الله! أرسلت بها إلي، لقد سمعتك تقول فيها ما قلت؟ فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم : " تبيعها، أو تقضي بها حاجتك".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that he stated: Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) received a cloak made of thick silk. He took it to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! Buy this and wear it on Fridays and when distinguished people come to you as a delegation. Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Such clothes are worn by those who have no share in the Hereafter." Then some cloaks were brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He sent one cloak to Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), one cloak to Sayyiduna Usama (may Allah be pleased with him), and one cloak to Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! You have sent this to me while I have heard your statement about it? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Sell it or fulfill any other need with it."
