Hadith 196
196/259 عن أبي هريرة قال: قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم : " من تقوّل علي ما لم أقل، فليبتوّأ مقعده من النار".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him). He said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever attributes a false statement to me which I did not say, let him prepare his abode in Hell. And whoever gives advice to his Muslim brother which, in his view, is not correct, he has committed a betrayal."
