Sahih Adab al-Mufrad

It is narrated from Ata bin Yasar, he says: I met Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him), so I said (to him): Tell me the attributes of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that are in the Torah. He said: Yes, by Allah! Some of the attributes of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that are mentioned in the Torah are also described in the Qur'an: «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ شَاهِدًا وَمُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًا‏» "O Prophet (peace and blessings be upon you)! We have sent you as a witness, a bearer of glad tidings, and a warner." And as a protector for the unlettered people. You are My servant and My messenger. I have named you 'Al-Mutawakkil' (the one who relies on Allah). You are neither harsh in nature nor hard-hearted, nor do you raise your voice in the markets, nor do you repay evil with evil, but you forgive and overlook. And Allah, the Exalted, will not take him (the Prophet) from this world until, through him, He straightens the crooked nation so that they say 'La ilaha illallah' (there is no god but Allah), and through him, He opens blind eyes, deaf ears, and wrapped hearts.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: I heard a statement from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) from which Allah benefited me. I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying, or he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "When you seek out people's faults, you will corrupt them." I do not seek out their faults lest I corrupt them.
