Hadith 67
67/90 عن عائشة رضي الله عنها قالت: جاء أعرابى إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال: أتقبلون صبيانكم؟! فَـ[والله/89] ما نقبلهم! فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: "أو أملك لك أن نزع الله من قلبك الرحمة؟!".
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that a Bedouin came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "Do you people kiss children? By Allah, we do not kiss them." Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If Allah has removed mercy from your heart, then what can I do?"
Hadith 68
68/91 عن أبي هريرة قال : قبل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم حسن بن علي، وعنده الأقرع بن حابس التميمي جالس، فقال الأقرع : إن لي عشرة من الولد ما قبلت منهم أحداً! فنظر إليه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ثم قال: " من لا يرحم لا يرحم".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), he said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) kissed Sayyiduna Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with them both). At that time, Aqra’ bin Habis Tamimi was sitting with the Prophet (peace be upon him). Aqra’ said: “I have ten sons and I have not kissed any of them.” Upon this, the Messenger (peace be upon him) looked towards him and said: “He who does not show mercy will not be shown mercy.”
