Hadith 66
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that a woman came to Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her). Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) gave her three dates. She gave one each to her two children and kept one for herself. Both children ate their dates and began to look at their mother. She split the third date into two pieces and gave one piece to each child. After that, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came, so Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) related this incident to him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is nothing surprising in this; Allah the Exalted has shown mercy to her because she showed mercy to her two children."
