It is narrated from Abu Amr Shaibani who says: The owner of this house narrated a hadith to us, and with his hand he pointed towards the house of Sayyiduna Abdullah (bin Mas'ud) (may Allah be pleased with him), that he said: I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "Which deed is most beloved to Allah the Exalted?" He said: "To perform the prayer at its earliest time." I said: "Then which?" He said: "Then to treat parents with kindness." I said: "Then which?" He said: "Then striving in the way of Allah." (Ibn Mas'ud) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) told me these deeds, and if I had asked for more, he would have told me more.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that he said: The pleasure of the Lord is in the pleasure of the father, and the displeasure of the Lord is in the displeasure of the father.
