It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Juhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man complained to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about his neighbor. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Pick up your belongings and put them on the road; whoever passes by will curse him." So whoever passed by would curse him. Then he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "What kind of treatment am I facing from the people?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah's curse is greater than their curse." (If you cannot bear the curse of the people, then Allah's curse is upon the one who harms his neighbor.) Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the man who had complained: "This is sufficient for you."
