637/826-(صحيح) عن مطيع قال: سمعت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول يوم فتح مكة: "لا يقتل قرشي صبراً بعد اليوم إلى يوم القيامة ". فلم يدرك الإسلام أحد من عصاة قريش غير مطيع؛ كان اسمه العاص، فسماه النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم : مطيعاً.
637/826-(Sahih) From Muti’ who said: I heard the Prophet, peace be upon him, say on the day of the conquest of Mecca: "No Qurayshi shall be killed in captivity after today until the Day of Resurrection." None of the disobedient ones of Quraysh attained Islam except Muti’; his name was Al-‘As, so the Prophet, peace be upon him, named him: Muti’.
