[باب] من كره أن يقال اللهم اجعلني فى مستقر رحمتكChapter: Disliking to say: “O Allah, place me in the abode of Your mercy”

595/768 عن أبي الحارث الكرماني قال: سمعت رجلاً قال لأبي رجاء(2): أقرأ عليك السلام، واسأل الله أن يجمع بين وبينك في مستقررحمته! قال: وهل يستطيع أحد ذلك؟ قال: فما مستقر رحمته؟ قال: الجنة. قال: لم تصب. قال: فما مستقر رحمته؟ قال: قلت: رب العالمين.
It is narrated from Abu Harith Kermani that he said: I heard a man saying to Abu Raja: I greet you with peace and I pray to Allah that He admits me and you into the place of His mercy. He (Abu Raja) said: Does anyone have the power to do that? He asked: What do you mean by the place of mercy? He said: Paradise. He (Abu Raja) said: You have not said correctly. That man asked Abu Raja: What is the place of mercy according to you? I said: It is the Lord of the worlds.
