471/602 عن سالم، عن أبيه : أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم مر برجل يعظ ( وفي رواية … يعاتب) أخاه في الحياء، [ حتى كأنه يقول : أضرّ بك] فقال: " دعهُ؛ فإن الحياء من الإيمان".
Salim narrates from his father that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a man who was advising his brother about modesty (he was angry with him and scolding him), to the extent that he was saying: "You are so modest that it is harming you." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Leave him, for indeed modesty is part of faith."
