Narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) arrived in Madinah, Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) became ill. She says: I went to them. I said: O my father! How are you? And O Bilal! How are you? When Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) would have a fever, he would say: Every man wakes up among his family, and death is closer to him than the strap of his sandal. And when Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) would recover from the fever, he would raise his voice and say: Oh, if only I could spend a night in a valley surrounded by the bushes of Idhkhir and Jalil, and will they ever intend to go to the springs of Majannah, and will there ever be a time when the hills of Shamah and Tufail will appear for me (they were remembering the places of Makkah). Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and informed him of their condition, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: «اللهم حبب إلينا المدينة، كحبنا مكة أو أشد، وصححها، وبارك لنا فى صاعها ومدها، وانقل حماها فاجعلها بالجحفة» "O Allah! Make Madinah as beloved to us as Makkah or even more so, and make it healthy for us, and bless us in its sa’ and its mudd, and transfer its fever to the valley of Juhfa."
