383/498 عن عائشة رضي الله عنها، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: "ما من مسلم يصاب بمصيبة- وجعٍ أو مرض- إلا كان كفارة ذنوبه، حتى الشوكة يشاكها، أو النكبة"(2).
Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "When a Muslim is afflicted with pain or illness, even if a thorn pricks him or he suffers any hardship, it becomes an expiation for his sins."
