Hadith 341

341/440 عن عبد الله بن عمر؛ أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " إذا قال للآخر: كافر، فقد كفر أحدهما، إن كان الذي قال له كافراً؛ فقد صدق؛ وإن لم يكن كما قال له، فقد باء الذي قال له بالكفر".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a person calls another a disbeliever, then one of them has certainly committed disbelief. If the one who was called a disbeliever is truly so, then the accuser has spoken the truth. But if he is not as he was described, then the one who uttered the word of disbelief will himself return with disbelief."
