باب هل يكني أباه ؟Should one use a kunya for his father?
Hadith 33

33/46 (صحيح الإسناد) عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: " لَكِنْ أَبُو حَفْصٍ عُمَرُ قَضَى".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that he said: But as for Abu Hafs Umar, this is his decision. (He mentioned his father's kunyah.) (Among the Arabs, calling someone by their kunyah is considered a great sign of respect.)
