Warrad, the scribe of Sayyiduna Mughirah (may Allah be pleased with him), narrates that Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote a letter to Sayyiduna Mughirah bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him): "Send me something in writing that you have heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." So Sayyiduna Mughirah (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote to him. (And in one narration, Warrad said: He dictated to me and I wrote it with my own hand.) Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) (and in another narration: I heard from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him) «قيل و قال» (idle talk), wasting wealth, asking too many questions, withholding (people’s rights), and making unlawful demands (i.e., asking for what one is not entitled to, making illegitimate demands), disobedience to mothers, and burying daughters alive.
