Sahih Adab al-Mufrad

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Mas’ud Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: A man came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said, “My mount has become exhausted, please help me to ride (grant me a mount).” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “I do not have one, but go to so-and-so, perhaps he will give you a mount.” He went to him, and he provided him with a mount (he gave him a ride). He returned to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and informed him. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Whoever guides to a good deed will have a reward equal to that of the one who does it (whoever shows the way to goodness, he will have a reward equal to the one who acts upon it).”
