باب عقوق الوالديDisobedience to parents
Hadith 12

12/15 (صحيح) عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ: رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "أَلَا أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِأَكْبَرِ الْكَبَائِرِ؟ " ثَلَاثًا. قَالُوا: بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ! قَالَ: "الْإِشْرَاكُ بِاللَّهِ، وَعُقُوقُ الْوَالِدَيْنِ - وَجَلَسَ وَكَانَ مُتَّكِئًا - أَلَا وَقَوْلُ الزُّورِ" مَا زَالَ يُكَرِّرُهَا حتى قلت: ليته سكت.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said three times: "Shall I not inform you of the greatest of the major sins?" The companions said: "O Messenger of Allah! Certainly." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Associating partners with Allah and disobedience to parents." He (peace and blessings be upon him) was reclining, then he sat up and said: "Listen, and false speech." He (peace and blessings be upon him) kept repeating it until I said: I wished he would be silent.
