Hadith 106
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قَالَتِ الْمَلائِكَةُ : يَا رَبُّ، ذَاكَ عَبْدٌ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَعْمَلَ سَيِّئَةً وَهُوَ أَبْصَرُ بِهِ، فَقَالَ : ارْقُبُوهُ، فَإِنْ عَمِلَهَا فَاكْتُبُوهَا لَهُ بِمِثْلِهَا، وَإِنْ تَرَكَهَا فَاكْتُبُوهَا لَهُ حَسَنَةً، إِنَّمَا تَرَكَهَا مِنْ جَرَّايَ "
And the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The angels say: O Lord! Your (such-and-such) servant intends to commit an evil deed. Although Allah Almighty knows this very well. Allah Almighty says: Watch over him; if he commits the evil deed, then write one evil for him, and if he refrains from it, then write one good deed for him, because this servant has refrained from the evil out of fear of Me."
